Lawrence J. Scanlon is a board certified civil trial lawyer not only by the National Board of Trial Advocacy but also by the Florida Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in all State and Federal Courts in Ohio and Florida, as well as the Sixth Circuit and Eleventh Circuit Federal Courts of Appeals, and in the United States Supreme Court since 1986. Mr. Scanlon is not only an AV rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, but he has also obtained Preeminence by Martindale-Hubbell. As a member of the Million Dollar Forum, he has represented those who have sustained catastrophic injuries and other serious personal injuries by the way of professional liability or product liability, such as pharmaceutical cases and device cases.

Mr. Scanlon has been recognized as a leader not only in his profession but also in his involvement and professional association. He was the 2015-2016 President of the Akron Bar Association and past President of the Summit County Trial Lawyers Association and the University of Akron School of Law, Law Alumni Association.

In spite of these commitments, Mr. Scanlon has found time to lecture at the Law School in Akron as well as to medical professionals in the community, and he has been a featured speaker at Ohio State Bar conventions, Ohio Academy of Justice seminars and conventions, and the American Association of Justice formerly the ATLA.
